Our Story
American Legion Post 162 was founded on a simple conviction: that those who have served deserve a place to come home to, and that the neighbors they protect should have a space to gather, share a meal, and build lasting connections.
Today, that conviction lives in every detail — from the regulars who claim the same booth every Friday night to the young families celebrating their first milestones in our dining room. We honor our history not by keeping it behind glass, but by making it matter to everyone who walks through our doors.
We are a private veterans' organization, but our tables are open to all who seek honest food, a cold drink, and the rare comfort of genuine hospitality.

Events & Gatherings
From birthday dinners and retirement toasts to memorial services and reunion gatherings, Post 162 provides a dignified, comfortable space for the moments that matter. Our event room can be arranged for intimate dinners or larger celebrations, and our kitchen will work with you to build a menu that fits your needs and your budget.
We also host regular community events throughout the year — fundraisers, veteran recognitions, holiday meals, and socials that bring Marion together. Follow along or stop by; there is always something happening at Post 162.
